While wrenches and screwdrivers still have there place, today’s vehicles require far more complex diagnostic and repair equipment. The advanced tools and service information our technicians have access to allow them to quickly and accurately diagnose and repair your vehicle. Below are just some of the tools our techs use on a daily basis.
- Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) these allow us to find pattern failures, new procedures, and updated parts that vehicle manufacturers have identified.
- General Motors electronic service information (GMesi) this is GM’s repair information. Think of it like a giant electronic repair manual. By having access to the factory recommended diagnostic and repair procedures our technicians have access to the best information available for servicing your car.
- TIS2Web (General Motors factory computer reprogramming) This service allows us to reprogram the software on the many different computers your GM vehicle has. This is useful when GM has identified an issue that is corrected via software update or any time one of the computers needs to be replaced.
- Mitchell1 (Repair order, service information, estimating, maintenance schedule and reminder software) This software allows us to accurately provide you with written estimates, diagnose and repair your vehicle, provide you with the factory recommended maintenance schedule for your car and automatically send you email reminders when it is due for service.
- TechII (GM scan tool) This tool allows us to communicate with your GM vehicles on board computers. It also serves as the gateway when reprogramming computers.
- Mastertech (GM Ford Chrysler & Import scan tool) This scanner allows us to communicate with the onboard computers on your vehicle it is also useful for reprogramming the powertrain control modules on GM vehicles. It also can be used as an oscilloscope for tracking down electrical issues.
